  • Essential Business Process Modeling by Michael Havey
    • Editors' Rating:
    • PRO: A quick introduction to business process modeling that includes overview chapters on BPMN, BPEL, and WS-CDL.
    • CON: Doesn't address any language in detail and examples are trivial, so you will need another book or resource if you really want to learn how to model business processes.
  • Business Modeling With UML: Business Patterns at Work by Magnus Penker, et al.
    • Editors' Rating:
    • PRO: A solid introduction to business modeling using a UML profile (customization).
    • CON: Needs to be updated to address recent advances in BPMN and UML Activity diagram alignment.
